After being asked multiple times about my favorite books, I thought I would create a post with my favorites! I’ll be adding others to the list as time goes on.
These are my personal favorites. Books that have motivated me, encouraged me, and taught me over the past few years. I hope you enjoy reading these as much as I have!
Worth Every Penny – If you are a small boutique brand trying to get off the gound financially, this book has valuable insights about how to provide value for your customers through upsells and additional material instead of the dreaded discounting that drives so many small business owners to frustration and burnout. link here
Linchpin – One of my favorite authors, Seth Godin, talks in this book about being indispensable in what you do so that the value level you provide to people is so high that they don’t ever want you to go away. link here
Purple Cow – Also by Seth Godin, this books has case studies of what different people and business have done to stand out from the crowd. Meant more to provoke thought about how the world of selling is changing when people no longer pay attention to commercials but instead buy what they hear about from their friends. link here
The Charisma Myth – The author breaks down how what we perceive as charisma is actually just good mindfulness and confidence skills. Helpful for improving your conversational skills and learning to be someone people want to follow and relate to. link here
Better Than Before – A great complement to the above, this book explores how different people react to rules, boundaries and exceptions and give personalized suggestions for each type as to how they can most effectively create new habits in their life. link her
Grit To Great – Tough times can change us for the better or the worse and in this book, the authors
show you how you can develop grit and tenacity in your life and business to better handle challenging situations and thrive instead. link here
Contagious – Jonah Berger writes about why ideas catch on, why things go viral and how to channel that contagious factor into your own products and services . Even if you aren’t in business, this is one fascinating read. link here
How To Style Your Brand – A comprehensive look at the full branding process for business with lots of design examples. For both business owners and designers. link here
