To celebrate our six-month anniversary (what?!) I thought I’d share a few pictures from Charleston, the final and longest stop of our honeymoon. The colorful Colonial architecture was certainly one of our favorite things about Charleston. It has all the charm of a small historic town with the shopping and amazing food of a big town. I almost didn’t get most of these pictures, but we decided to walk around one last time the night before we left even though we were really tired so I could take some pictures with my ‘real’ camera and I’m so glad we did!
The view from the Belmond Hotel balcony. We had snacks and coffee at The Thoroughbred Club twice–we liked it so much!
Most of the homes are beautifully, exquisitely restored to their Colonial/post-Colonial glory.
Many beautiful gates and courtyards.
Lots of colorful stucco.
Many homes have a street entrance like this to the porch, which then leads to the front door.
Somehow pink stucco looks perfectly classy on this house.
An outdoor seafood restaurant in Hilton Head.
Exploring cobblestone alleys.
Celebrating Drew’s birthday with tiramisu at the most darling tiny Italian restaurant.
